At a little past the midpoint of 2016 and as we enter the prime season for marketing student housing, we at Triad wanted to take a look at the current state of the market in our home region of the Midwest. While we have continued to expand geographically, our focus still remains the Midwest and our data and reach in these markets is unparalleled. We examined full comparable sale data on 63 transactions across the region from January 2013 through August 2016 to make some observations. The results clearly show the market peaking on a CAP rate and price per pound basis.
